I have just been so tired. I was dragging all week. I'd get home from work, eat something, and then close my eyes... After a long nap, then it was time to get ready for bed. Sigh.
But I did manage to sew the shoulder seams.
And that was all. Sigh.
So, I have officially missed the winter with this sweater. I mean, unless, is it still cold where you are? (We have finished our cold winter weather. I switched my bedding to my summer sheets.)
Maybe this week I'll get it done? I really don't have a good excuse at this point.
At least eldest nephew will get to wear this next winter.

ReplyDeleteWe have warm weather today but it’ll be cold again by the end of the week
I talked to my brother after writing this, and he said it might be "false spring", so maybe...
DeleteThere are still 10 days til winter is gone. You'll make it!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me 10 days. That makes me sure I won't get it done.
DeleteI hope you aren't coming down with something that is zapping your energy. We're all sun here now, too.
ReplyDeleteI get tired sometimes. If I rest, I tend to not get any worse.
DeleteI had some of that dragged out feeling this weekend. It's gone now. Our weather is beautiful today - 60's, blue sky. By Thursday it will be back to winter. So I'm happy (for you) to say "Winter hasn't ended yet."
ReplyDeleteI would like him to be able to wear the sweater at least once this year.
DeleteWork is tiring. No question about that.
ReplyDeleteDear Liz, you will get it done. I had caught a cold last Thursday, which is a rare event for me, thankfully, and even though it fortunately lasted just 3 days, those days were very long for me because I felt so tired and spent. We had fluctuating temperatures here in Montreal last week, one day -14 Celsius, the next day +2, just crazy. And today it is in the 50's Fahrenheit.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the temperatures will drop again and they are call for "severe freezing rain" for Wednesday and Thursday. I will be staying in those days, I do not wish to slip and fall! There is a strong possibility we could lose power as well, but I am just doing my best to stay safe. Oh, I have my appointment on Thursday morning, which I will go to, but I will take a taxi if I have to, I want to get these tests done so the doctor can find out why I am having trouble swallowing and coughing.
Brrrr. We don't get cold here, not actual cold.
DeleteIt's no longer cold where I am. It's in the 80's already.
ReplyDeleteStill cold in Canada. But we had one of the coldest winters here I can remember!
ReplyDeleteIt would have been nice if I had gotten him this sweater so he could use it in that cold. That's all I'm saying.
DeleteYou got the shoulder seams done--that’s progress!
ReplyDeleteThe sweater will be ready when it’s ready, and your nephew will have something cozy to look forward to next winter. 🌸
Hi Liz - you've kept at it and he'll enjoy wearing it next winter. We're about to move into Spring after a cold snap this week - take care - cheers Hilary
