You may not believe immigration restrictions are racist, but racists believe immigration restrictions are racist. And a lot of what's going on is just pure, unadulterated racism. And unless proven otherwise, I assume all MAGA are racist. Anyone who is agreeing with the regime, or supporting whatever talking points, is doing so to support the inherent racism.
I mean, why else would stories of a 2-month-old just getting out of the hospital and then being abandoned across the border not raise more outrage? Why aren't people more concerned about ICE watchdogs being dismantled?
And, of course, the concentration camps. They're buying up unused warehouses for concentration camps. We're in the concentration camp part of this nightmare.

ReplyDeleteOf course they're racist! Just being darker than white gets you stopped. I have no idea if my brother is still MAGA (he never used that phrase, but he is/was a big Trump fan) or not, he hasn't communicated nearly as much (it's always email) in the past 9 or 10 months. I'm hoping he's embarrassed and that's why. When young (he's over 80) he was a racist (Latinos) and his religion is pretty much MAGA (LDS). So, that fits in with ICE. No one in the family could ever understand how he started believing the things he does. I was reading about the pets left abandoned when owners are swept up. One dog was in a car in an impound lot for a month. He's okay now. He survived on fast food scraps (makes me think they lived in their car, I have lost French fries, and such, but not a month's worth). I believe ICE knew and didn't care. They have been seen just letting dogs out on streets. They probably love the pain it causes the owners. They are not normal people. Even babies left. I could go on...

DeleteThey’re stopping people based on appearance. I read one story where the woman was a natural citizen, offered to show her passport and birth certificate, and they locked her up anyhow. It’s not a mistake.

Funny, that is what any guilty party often say so when there is someone innocent to whats going on( very young, living in rural areas etc), the truly innocent get nothing but derision sorry, I was thinking about my mom who was only 17, lived in a rural area and could be very naive. Anyhoo, the MAGA are maggots in my opinion. I got my hair cut a couple of weeks ago and the woman who cuts my hair was talking that the ICE only go after who is truly guilty. I mentioned about thev5 yr old taken, and she said have to watch out for fake news. If ICE is arresting someone, you just do your own business and not interfere like that guy. If you interfere and they retaliate, you are asking for it! Before my jaw hit the floor, I said so that man who helped a woman who was pepper sprayed deserved to be shot in the back. Continued to receive bullets while he was motionless on the ground and then turned over, shirt ripped so they could count the bullets? She just talked over me and I said they are thugs and cowards, not showing their face and are the brownshirts of today. Anyhoo, she mentioned and laughed that we can agree to disagree and moved from there. Im think8ng of changing hairstylist. How is this gaining power? My dad was a voracious reader and l9ved non fiction...history he read Mein Kampf and whenever he heard someone in power say they didn't know he would yell at the TV, " Bullshit! Those sons of witches knew. All you need to do is read Hitler's book."

DeleteI’m seeing history being repeated before my eyes. I do know some people who are sympathetic to MAGA and it’s like they live on a different planet from me. What made them turn into their present selves? I then think of people I’ve met over the years, all hard working and none criminal and how they must be suffering. Many of our medical professionals here are immigrants just as one example. Then. I think of a cousin who married a legal immigrant from Mexico and became a citizen years ago, and their children and grandchildren. Any could just be picked up because of their looks. If we the people don’t stand up for them we could be next, because that’s what history teaches us.
