Kitty Cat Complete

I normally would post my yarn-y post on Monday, but this worked too well for the letter of the day today, so...

If you were here Monday, you saw my fail. The hole for the tail for the crocheted cat pillow was in the entirely wrong place. It took me a surprisingly short amount of time to fix that (as in, one afternoon). I ripped it all out to the tail hole and then restitched everything.

The tail is now placed correctly. And I rather like how it turned out.

Hopefully it now looks like a cat.

I'm debating embroidering on a face. I'm terrible at embroidery, and I'm not even sure where to start. (The pattern doesn't offer embroidery ideas, only the concept that a face could be added if desired.) But I rather like it like this.

Even the change in yarn at the rear looks okay. At least, I think so.

Now, what to do with the thing? I have no use for it. Any ideas?

    1. I am. I'm just happy that it didn't take as much work as I had been expecting to make the fix.

  3. Yes, it does look like a cat now! I did think it would have a face, but it's cute without.

    1. I haven't ruled out doing a face entirely. What do you think? Should I figure out how to embroider one?

  4. Oh, I think it's cute! And yes, a cat. I like the different color on the ears and end.

  7. I like the tail now. It might be improved by a face but you know your strengths, and I would vote for leaving it the way it is. Nice kitty.

  9. Lovely! Love the ears, and the new tail ;) If you want to use it for a useful purpose, not only decorative, you may want to stuff it with sand and make a door or window stop.

  10. It’s great that you managed to fix the tail issue and ended up with something you’re happy with! The idea of adding an embroidered face sounds fun, but I totally get the hesitation if you’re not confident with embroidery. The cat looks adorable just as it is, though! As for what to do with it, maybe it could make a cute gift for someone, or you could even turn it into a decorative piece for your home, like a cozy pillow for your couch. Either way, it’s a lovely creation!

    1. I don't have a couch. I don't have room for decor stuff. As it is, I'm buried under what I do have.

  12. It's cute. I know what you mean about embroidering a face, but it would be cute. You could have used safety eyes and a nose if you had thought about it earlier in the project. It's something to think about for a future one.
